Please note that federal government rules require program applicants to be U.S. citizens.
1. Enroll in the appropriate Michigan Tech undergraduate (International Sustainable Development Engineering Certificate) or graduate (Graduate Certificate in Sustainability) sustainability program, if not currently a student in one of those programs. Undergraduates should demonstrate their past or expected participation in International Senior Design and Graduate Students should attach a SFI-I Degree Schedule form that shows their progress towards completion of the certificate ( http://www.admin.mtu.edu/rgs/graduate/trackforms/GC(SFI)1.pdf )
2. Download and complete the application for the International Sustainable Development Engineering Research Experiences Program, ISDEREP_2008_application.doc  [editable Word file, 11.1 MB]
3. Return application to Prof. Kurt Paterson (paterson@mtu.edu) by noon 5 December 2007.  Electronic submissions of materials are encouraged.
4. Have two references (for doctoral students, one of your letters must be from your research advisor) send their letters directly to Prof. Paterson, also by 5 December 2007. Again, electronic submissions are encouraged.
