CE1501 Experiences in Environmental Engineering

This course will introduce you to the knowledge, skills, and attitudes you will need along your path from environmental engineering student to environmental engineer. Specific objectives for this class are for you to:


1. Develop an academic plan for personal and professional delight

2. Learn more about the Michigan Tech environmental engineering program

3. Quickly establish friendships among students of similar academic interests

4. Develop skills to deal with the many aspects of student life

5. Understand when solo and team work are needed to achieve goals

6. Form a community within the university

7. Develop a sense of the environmental engineering profession

8. Use some of the skills required by environmental engineers

9. Explore several of the specialty areas within environmental engineering

10. Master some of the basic environmental engineering language
